History of Murray Family Farms
Murray Family Farms began 14 years ago when Steve and Vickie Murray purchased a small ranch in rural Kern County. Today, their 360-acre farm produces the most flavorful varieties of cherries, tree fruit, grapes, brambles, and truck crops, ranging from artichokes to zucchini.
Located in the southern end of California's Great Central Valley, the area offers a rich history, a long growing season and the rich fertile soil necessary to produce an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables.
For many years, the family marketed direct to consumers through farmers markets on the Central Coast and in Southern California where their early season, flavorful cherries were in high demand. In 2001, they opened their first onsite fruit stand and they haven't stopped growing.
